IR-Thermometers for use in medical engineering

Berlin, 1. February 2011. Optris GmbH presents its new, compact infrared thermometer optris CSmed LT at the exhibition MEDTEC UK / MTEC at hall 9, booth 1124 and reacts to the growing demand of manufacturer, who implement Optris products into medical devices and products.

The optris CSmed LT finds perfect use in small medical devices and products due to its length of 87 mm and a inside width of only 12 mm. The greatest benefit for the customer is the very short connection cable with a cable plug. The plug allows an easy and fast installation and removal of the thermometer within medical devices, such as for regular calibrations of the sensor.

Due to its outstanding cost-performance-ratio, the optris CS LT finds use in OEM solutions and for the infrared monitoring of a multitude of measuring points such as midget machinery for plastic products, for the monitoring of gradation for the analysis of medical specimen or for temperature control within the cryoengineering.

The optris CSmed LT allows the measurement of temperatures in a range between -40°C and 1030°C. The measurement device can also be used in surroundings of up to 80°C without additional cooling due to high temperature resistance. The optical resolution of the product has been enhanced to 15:1 and the response time to 25 ms. The optris CSmed LT also consists of a intelligent LED-display for e.g. sight support.
