The new Optris video pyrometers CTvideo 1M / 2M allow a parallel use of video and crosshair laser aiming for an optimal measuring field adjustment even in processes with limited access. It reliably measures temperatures of metals or ceramics and, due to its short measuring wavelength, reduces measuring errors of surfaces with low or unknown emissivity.

1) ε = 1, exposure time 1 s
2) with dynamic adaptation at low signal levels
With a wavelength suitable for metal surfaces, the video pyrometers CTvideo 1 M and 2M reliably measure metals with temperatures of up to 2,200°C. They are especially popular in the processing of metals, e.g. soldering, induction brazening or in rolling trains. They furthermore, by means of their integrated video module, allow for a reliable and precise measuring field marking even in cases where the measuring objects are so hot the laser visor is not visible anymore.
The temperature analysis software optris Compact Connect has been developed specifically for the extensive documentation and analysis of temperature measurement data of our stationary infrared thermometers. It is license-free and included in every pyrometer shipment.
