Temperature Measurement on Ultra-Thin Glass

Touch displays, such as for smartphones and tablets, use ultra-thin glass, which bring special challenges for temperature measurement technology in their manufacturing. For this application, Optris has now brought out the new CTlaser G7 infrared thermometer, which can precisely measure the surface temperatures of glass components in the range of 212 °F up to 2192 °F.

Compact Infrared Camera for Laser Machining Processes

Temperature measurement in processes where lasers are used provides major challenges for infrared measurement technology: So for example the camera needs to be insensitive to the laser’s scattered light. The new optris PI 08M is ideally suited to these kinds of applications.

Operate IR Cameras and Pyrometers Easily with Your Smartphone

The infrared cameras and pyrometers from Optris can now also be operated easily using a smartphone or tablet. For this, the specialist for infrared measurement technology now provides the new IRmobile App for Android in the Google Play Store. In this way, the need to use a laptop can be therefore be avoided for many applications.

Compact IR Cameras with Industrial Accessories

The infrared cameras from the Optris Compact Line, the Xi 80 and Xi 400, have been supplemented with new industrial accessories for use in rough conditions. The system has a modular design and as a result, the water cooled housing, the air purge unit and the shutter can be used both individually and combined.

The Optris Logo Has Been Modified

As of January 1, 2019, Optris GmbH changed the subline of its logo: “optris – infrared thermometers” became “optris – infrared measurements”. This change was made because the product group for infrared cameras now makes up nearly half of total sales.
