Outdoor Protective Housing for Infrared Cameras
As well as cooling housing, Optris GmbH now also offers specially designed protective housing for the outdoors. This allows the optris PI Series infrared cameras to be used outdoors all year round in rough conditions.
VGA Thermal Imaging Camera with New Tele Optics
An additional interchangeable lens now complements the optris® PI 640 thermal imaging camera. Four lenses are now available to meet the customer’s different measurement tasks and requirements. In addition to the 33°, 60° and 90° optics, measurements can now be performed using a 15° telephoto lens.
Miniaturized Infrared Thermometer for Plastic Film
The application of non-contact temperature measurement technology poses the challenge that films with a thickness of less than 1 mm are transparent for standard IR thermometers and consequently are not able to be measured. “We developed the optris CT P3 infrared thermometer, which measures in a narrow spectral range of 3.43 µm, in order to enable a precise temperature measurement of thinner films made of, for example, PE or PP,” explains Dr. Thomas Heinke, Head of Development at Optris.

Infrared images and videos from the air – recorded by drones, UAVs and other flying objects – are becoming increasingly important in industrial maintenance. In some cases, the cost savings compared to existing applications are enormous. The relaunched optris PI LightWeight, a kit consisting of a weight-reduced infrared camera and an equally light mini PC now ensures even better flight thermography.
New Powerful Mini PC for Infrared Cameras
The optris® PI NetBox – the new mini PC by Optris – is markedly more powerful than its predecessor. It can be used to operate all infrared cameras in the PI series – as a stand-alone system or as a cable extension via GigE.
Cooling Housing with New Protective Casings
The new cooling housing CoolingJacket Advanced for infrared cameras and infrared thermometers made by Optris can now be purchased with a protective window or protective grids as an option.
