Big on performance, small in size

Optris offers the industrial benchmark within affordable industrial pyrometers regarding the sensing heads’ size, robustness, and temperature rating. The different spectral options allow temperature measurements of plastics, metal, glass, and ceramics from -50-1030 °C (-58°F to 1886°F) with temperature resolution down to 25mK. Different optical options support a high distance-to-spot-size ratio to ensure an optimal focus on the target for high-temperature accuracy.

With the miniaturized M12 stainless steel measuring head, these sensors are designed to fit even the tightest spaces, setting an industrial standard for integration efficiency.

Due to their unique electronics layout, the sensing head endures an ambient temperature of up to 180°C (356 °F), which allows close positioning next to heat sources.

The sensors offer analog mV or mA output, including an optional simple 2-wiring, which allows straightforward electrical setup. The intelligent LED display works optionally as an alarm signal, target support, self-diagnosis, or temperature-code display. The optional USB adapter supports an effortless configuration through our smartphone app or the Windows software.

The very advantageous cost-performance ratio supports the integration of the pyrometers within OEM solutions.

Why IR Thermometers of CS & CSmicro Series?

1234The Optris CS and CS LT pyrometers set the standard for robust and affordable infrared thermometers that deliver reliable non-contact temperature measurements in a wide variety of industrial temperature measurement applications.

The low cost CS LT infrared thermometer begins at pricing less than $130.00 and measures temperatures from -58°F to 1886°F. Emissivity changes are fully supported through use of the optional USB kit and our free Compact Connect software which can be downloaded from our website. Voltage, current and Thermocouple (type K) outputs are supported. The CS Micro infrared sensors are particularly popular for applications where space is limited in customer products or manufacturing equipment and where only small sensor heads will fit. The entire stainless sensing head is just 14mm wide and 28mm in length.

The CS Micro single-piece two wire infrared pyrometer is designed with the electronics embedded in the cable which allows the temperature sensing head to reside in high temperature ambient environments. This innovative design delivers temperature measurements with accuracy of 1.5% in ambient temperatures ranging from -4°F to 356°F. This combination of small size, affordable price and ambient temperature resistance makes the CS Micro the perfect OEM pyrometer for integration into manufactured products. CS Micro pyrometers are available in both long wave detectors ideal for measurements of high emissivity targets and with the short wave detectors optimized for temperature measurements on low emissivity metal surfaces. The CS Micro can also be equipped with air purging, a laser sighting tool, mounting flanges and close focus optics for temperature measurements of small spot size targets from close distance.

The CS Micro is also available in a wide variety of cable options that allow for varying distances from the IR sensing head to the embedded electronics and/or from the embedded electronics to the cable termination. Temperature measurements and temperature changes over time can be displayed and recorded on your PC using our free Compact Connect software or on our IR Mobile app, which can also be downloaded for free from Google Play.

Measurement results can also be communicated to your programmable logic controller (PLC) via current or voltage outputs. Both products (CS LT and CS Micro) are designed and built in Germany and carefully calibrated to government standards. Special size cables for OEM products can be supported for large quantity OEM customers. As with all Optris products, application engineers are available to make sure you have the right CS Micro sensor address your temperature measurement application.
